My son recommended this game to me, knowing that I like puzzles and strategy, and he was right on target. I LOVE this game! There are many levels to play, and even more that can be downloaded (if your Wii is connected to the internet.)
The game is seems overly-simple: use bombs, bowling balls, slingshots, and other items to knock down block towers. However, it is not that easy. Many of the games are very challenging - you only have a limited number of turns to knock down the towers, and so it requires some strategy and a lot of trial and error. The characters in this game are family friendly and downright funny - as you are playing, they are doing random things in the background that sometimes affect your game (for good and for bad.)
This is a great family game for all ages. It can be played in single player, co-operative, and VS modes. It has countless hours of playing fun (I have yet to unlock all of the levels, and I have played quite a bit!) and it is great to play alone or with others. It is an addictive must-have for family-friendly Wii game collections.

I got this game for my 10-year-old son. Finally, a game we can agree to play together. He, of course, wants to play shoot-'em-up games, which I don't want him doing just yet. In Boom Blox, we can throw things and blow things up, but we're not killing people, etc. Just the animals, which are not realistic looking anyway. There are plenty of levels and challenges to keep it interesting, and I like that you can just knock things down and make noise, or use your brain to figure out the 'optimal' way to complete a puzzle. I really like this game for family play.
