Laggy Performance

This product works well on control pad games that do not need perfect timing, such as Little Big Planet and NBA 2k9/2k10. However, for games like Street Fighter IV, it will lag. The PS2 arcade stick was very difficult to use, and even when using a DualShock2, the performance of the adapters were not very much better. Stay away from these if you are using them for games that need split-second reaction. For all other video games, these work fine.

we brought a ps3 and it only came with 1 controller and we still had our ps2 controller so it was cheaper than buying ps3 controller

Left Stick does not work. Other parts of controller do work. But is worthless on most games. Tried PS 2 original controller and a logitech controller.

This works with some exceptions & to me they're kind of big ones.

It works:
with regular controllers just fine
with SOME guitar hero games sometimes.

The adapter worked with GH1, GH2, & 80s, but not at all for GH3 or Aerosmith. When it did work it did not work very well. I can typically do medium with 5 stars & do hard mode just fine, BUT with the adapters i was having a hard time getting through some songs on medium & really hard getting through a song on hard. The whammy bar doesn't work at all so don't expect that to save you. The strum bar strums backwards, but that's only really a problem/annoying on the menu. & there seems to be lag so it misses notes. I had hoped that by using these I wouldn't have to buy all new guitars/games, but I did have to anyhow.

I wanted to get these for two reasons. First, I only have 2 PS3 controllers but I still have 2 PS2 controllers so it would be nice to have some extra mostly functional PS3 controllers. When playing a game like Hot Shots Golf or Little Big Planet, it works great save for the lack of sixaxis support. Second, I wanted a way to play Dance Dance Revolution on my PS3. Be warned, these do not work for dance pads. It treats the D-pad as a hat switch, so you cannot hit left and right or up and down at the same time. This makes playing dance games nearly impossible on the harder difficulties.

Overall they work well for the money; just don't buy them for dance pads.
