2001 debut full length for dance act described as, 'the British Air', the follow-up to two limited, critically acclaimed EPs. Highlights include the awesome African influenced instrumental passage 'Likufanele', the velvety 'I Have Seen' feat. Mozez & the quiet storm of 'Destiny' feat. Sia. Quango.

Great CD for entertaining and lounging. Cool Mellow tones and hip beats make this (older) release a must have to anyone's music collection.

great listening!

I really like this group/artist. One of my favs!..Even though the artist singing the song "Destiny" is not an original member of the Zero 7, I think its great that they added her to their selections!

It's ok but........

Someone said this album was even better than the later gorgeous 'When It Falls' CD - it's not. It's ok, but for me it just doesn't hit the spot. Maybe it will take a few more listens.......

December music - It suits us

After listening to this cd for close to a decade I have to ask, does anyone else feel like the whole album builds up to one point? Likufanele sounds like angelic voices rejoicing over the smoothest beat I could ever possibly imagine. At full blast it really is a sacred sound that could easily and immediately humble the best of gospel singers. A modern day hallelujah as it were, perhaps the best we can do. Other tracks are great as well, Polaris, This World, etc. the list goes on as the CD is great from beginning to end; uplifting, relaxing, and classic. Sounds like that cafe table hosting a warm mocha under a white contemplative december sky. One of electronica's greatest moments yet. When It Falls is another good album from this group, and I would definitely recommend it over the Garden.

BEST ALBUM EVER RELEASED BY ANY ARTIST

I am submitting this review in celebration of Zero 7's release of thier fourth cd titled 'Yeah Ghost'...which is a GREAT record. However, if you are new to Zero 7....buy 'Simple Things'...and upon your admission that your life has changed for the better...purchase 'When It Falls', and then 'The Garden'. Only then will you realize that the band needs to return to it's roots...and you can join me in encouraging them to do so. 'Simple Things' is simply amazing. Buy it NOW.
