Summary: It was a snap to install
Comment: First off, the range hood was delivered within a few days. I'm glad I did not pay extra for
shipping, because there was no need to. As for the hood itself, it was easy to install and is doing
a wonderful job in my kitchen. The vertical 7" round exhaust lined right up, I was excited. My
house is over 30 yrs old, and I had no problem with the installation. Looks sleek, motor's strong
and for the price its well worth it. It only has a couple of speeds, and uses a simple light bulb,
but sometimes simplicity goes a long way.

Summary: Damaged
Comment: The range hood was reasonabled priced, and the shipping was free. When I found it on our front
porch, I knew it would be damaged ,only a tank could have survived being shipped in the retail box.
I had to ship it back @ $5.00 more than what was credited to me ,Probably all the tape I used to
hold the box together. Initially when I called I spoke with a woman her middle eastern accent was
so strong, I had to keep asking her to repeat what she was saying.Her message was to keep it &
theyll send me a new one. Later I recieved a e mail asking to ship it back for a replacement. IT
has only been a week since I returned it.

Summary: Simple and sweet
Comment: This range hood moves plenty of air for our needs (it does move fewer CFS than some other models -
which might be an issue depending on how you cook). It was easy to install and works as promised (I
am using the top 7" round vent option). My only complaint is that the box isn't well padded, so the
hood arrived with a dent on the front. It's too heavy to bother shipping back for something that is
only cosmetic, but it was disappointing. The light cover isn't very fancy, but we bought some of
the smaller compact florescent bulbs and one fit under the cover with no problems. The plastic vent
cover for the front is a bit tricky to snap on, but once I figured it out it wasn't loose at all (it
sits on the hood without being snapped into place, which may explain the complaint of another
reviewer). I love the simplicity of this hood, and the number of installation options. Overall, it
looks and works as I had hoped and I can still talk easily while the fan is on.

Summary: Easy to customize and install
Comment: The range hood works well and does what it supposes to do. It's easy to customize and install. Its
price is reasonable. The reason we give this 4 stars because the light holder/cover and the front
covert are loose.

The light cover is the most junky looking part made in white
plastic, and it's a little bit short for the compact fluorescent light bulb. We had to cut open one
end of the light cover to fit with our bulb.

The front cover is needed when you don't
want your cooking air come back to your kitchen (for the ducted hood). This part is very easy to
fall out of its place.

Summary: Broan 36" four way convertible under cabinet range hood, black.
Comment: Broan range hood was ordered on June 29, 2008 and received on July 3, 2008. Item was crushed in one
corner, maybe dropped during shipping...I had to wait for return label and send item back. I
re-ordered same item and second item was received in good condition. I am happy with item but was
greatly inconvenienced by the return. I love the black color!
