Editorial Reviews
In 1923 and 1924 Gurdjieff and de Hartmann worked on developing their jointly-composed music for public performances, played by orchestras in both Paris and New York. The performance scores survived and have been the focus of research by Gert-Jan Blom. With help from many sources, he has now published a combination book/CD set around these exceptional events in the history of Gurdjieff s public activities. The set comprises four CDs and one hardbound book containing numerous reports and recollections related to the performances and to contemporary circumstances in France and New York. Dozens of photos appear, including many not previously published.
