Summary: Chilling, a great companion to other Holocaust Literature
Comment: It's fair to say that he won the Nobel Peace Prize for this book for a reason. Painfully poignant at
its best, Elie Wiesel's "Night" serves as an always-timely reminder of the depths to which man is
able to plunge.

Comment: One of the most moving books I have read.

Summary: Haunting
Comment: This review is for the unabridged CD version of 'Night' by Elie Wiesel. The narrator, George
Guidall, reads/performs the story of Elie's time in Auschwitz beautifully. His words are haunting,
moving and heartbreaking. Mr. Wiesel tells his story in the simplest and humblest of words that are
so descriptive they remain with you long after you finish the book/CD. This is not Hollywood's
version of what happened during Nazi Germany. It is a real life account of the horrors and
atrocities of the Holocaust.

I highly recommend this book/CD to anyone of high school
age or older.

Summary: Moving, Haunting...
Comment: This is a moving and haunting story and highly recommended for anyone whose heart goes out to those
who suffered the stones of racism. It was as powerful to me as a non-fiction book, Walking the
Trail, One Man's Journey Along the Cherokee Trail of Tears, by Jerry Ellis. This non-fiction book,
nominated for a Pulitzer, chronicles the author's 900 mile walk along the Trail where 4,000 of his
ancestors died after being locked in thirty-one concentration camps in the South.

Summary: Riveting
Comment: This should be a must read for all high school students. What happened with the Jewish people
during the Second World War was horrific. Wiesel's "diary" was heart wrenching.
