Summary: Can't Put it Down
Comment: Once you start reading this book, it is hard to put it down. My boyfriend was a Navy Seal and he
really likes the book a lot too. it is a must read for everyone.

Summary: Heroic, patriotic true story
Comment: I read this with my book club, and I have to say it was a wonderful book. Words I'd use to describe
the book - life-changing, heroic, tear-jerker, makes me proud to be an American. I also purchased
copies of this book as presents for my Dad (retired Army) and brother (active duty Navy).

Summary: Teens should read this book
Comment: When I was a kid every adult male I knew fought in World War II. I had an uncle in the Pacific and
one in the Battle of the Bulge. I read Guadalcanal Diary and To Hell and Back. While maybe a stern
edit of this book might be in order, I believe Lone Survivor will become a classic like the ones I
mentioned. Let's put politics aside because from what I gather from reading the reviews, liberal
anti Bush folks hate this book.
Frankly, the end is a bit gushy even for me, but the battle
narrative is riveting and that is why you would buy the book. To be sure, a bad decision put the
team at risk but from what I have been told and from what I have read, in WWII the goat herders
would have been killed and forgotten in a minute. That said, the selfless heroism and the honor
shown among the SEAL team is extraordinary and I would urge young people to read about it since
actually finding these qualities in American culture today would be exceedingly rare.

Summary: Well worth the reading time
Comment: Every time we do flutter kicks in my exercise class I think of this book.

I think the
most important piece of information that I brought way from Lone Survivor was the true difference of
our cultures. I really don't know many towns that would be willing to fight to the last person to
protect someone.

I've recommeded this book personally to several people. It does
contain a lot of pro-Texas, pro-Bush language (definately a proud Texan) but the meat of the story
is very powerful.

Summary: Thank God for U.S. Military Heros
Comment: This story makes you proud of our military and gives you hope that not every Muslim is a bad person.
Some really went out of thier way to help our people.
