Friendship Trouble
Customer Rating:

Sophie heads to NASA with her dad for Take Your Kids to Work Day. She and the Corn Flakes decide to make a space station model for science. But problems arise. The space station is sabatoged, and Fiona suspects the newest Corn Flake, Maggie, of doing it.
The message about God is mentioned throughout the story, yet it's not "preachy." The characters are likable, yet realistic- they don't do everything right; and, as always, the author's descriptions are so good you can see it all unfolding.
However, the title is somewhat misleading. For a book being called "Sophie and the Scondrels," there's actually not a lot of the Corn Pops (popular girls) or the Fruit Loops (annoying boys) in it. Also, some of the space station talk is confusing, which is why I gave it four.
Still, Nancy Rue is truly blessed by God and one of the best writers around!
